Naomi Van Niekerk is a multidisciplinary artist based in South Africa. She works with various mediums including moving images, printmaking, puppetry and performance. She studied Dramatic Arts in Johannesburg and the art of puppetry in France. She directed indie animated short films selected at many international festivals. ‘An ordinary blue Monday’ was awarded as Best first film in Annecy festival. She has participated in several residencies and has been developing other projects with international collaborators, including France and the Netherlands.
